--------------------------------------------------------

Hey everyone welcome back to another episode of Therapy Unmasked where we pull back the mask on what it means to be a Pediatric Therapist and how parents can receive the support they need to best help their kiddos obtain their own super powers.

This week we are joined by Nick Sidwell, an Occupational Therapist, and Liz Bakken, a pediatric physical therapist. Liz really helped us understand what the difference between patients receiving habilitation and patients receiving rehabilitation. Liz also discusses some common issues, like toe walking, that can be resolved by early intervention. She also gives parents some good tips and toy recommendations to help their children make progress and have fun at home.

If you have ever found yourself wondering:

Why is my child toe walking?🚶

Does my child need physical therapy?❔

What is play based, child lead physical therapy?⚽️

Is Habilitation right for my child? 🧒

Then this episode is for you!

We want to hear from you! What do you think about play based pediatric physical therapy? Leave us a comment and let us know!

We will see you in the next episode of Therapy Unmasked! 🦸
