Hey everyone welcome back to another episode of Therapy Unmasked where we pull back the mask on what it means to be a Pediatric Therapist and how parents can receive the support they need to best help their kiddos obtain their own super powers.
This week we are joined by Nick Sidwell, an Occupational Therapist, and Liz Bakken, a pediatric physical therapist. Wendy sat down with us today and shared how she has seen executive functioning and emotional regulation skills not only change her child's life but many others as well.
Wendy took her knowledge from teaching in special education classrooms and combined it with her desire to do more. This is where she found interest in learning more about emotional regulation, she also has a child that needs support with this and some sensory needs as well. Not only was Wendy able to take these skills and help her own children find tools to be successful, she was able to do that for herself as well. More recently Wendy has dived into helping children and even college aged students with executive functioning skills and she has been able to change many lives.
Listen in if you want to hear more from Wendy Bertagnole and all of the incredible knowledge she poses. We can't wait to sit down with her in the future and learn more! If you would like to contact Wendy directly you can reach her at wbertagnole@gmail.com.

Aarone Cefalo is a licensed Occupational Therapist at Ability Innovations. As a child Aarone was a pretty picky eater, as he got older he decided to turn this struggle into a profession and help other children. He was first introduced to Feeding Therapy in OT school, once he graduated he was able to get a certification for Feeding Therapy.
Today we were able to talk with Aarone about feeding therapy from a professional's stand point. He was able to share some examples of things he does at home with his children and in sessions to see the best results for his children.
Additionally, Aarone listed a couple resources for parents, one of which being our own online course. This course allows parents to gain access to knowledge about occupational, speech, physical, and of course feeding therapy guidance and more in depth tactics to use in the home. Our course is currently on $19.99 a month and you gain access to all sorts of video content and a community of parents and therapists.
